On Wednesday around 6pm Turlock Police Department received calls of a pedestrian struck down by a vehicle in the roadway in the 1200 block of East Avenue.
Bystanders began preforming life saving measures until police officers and medical aid arrived and took over. Unfortunately the victim, a 78 year old woman, succumbed to her injuries on scene.
“The driver remained on scene and is being cooperative with this investigation. Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this incident” states Turlock Police Department Crime and Community Information Analyst Deandra Wiley.
