On Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, at 11:32 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious person at Starbucks, 2201 W Main St, Turlock, who had been at the business for about six hours with a dog.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and contacted a person who identified themselves as Tommie Smith, 39, of Modesto.

When officers had their dispatcher run Smith, they discovered that they had a no-bail felony bench warrant out of Stanislaus County for elder or dependant adult abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death.

Smith was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on their warrant.
