The Turlock Bulldogs won the Harvest Bowl for the first (and only) time last year 7-0. Pitman Pride has now won the Harvest Bowl five times (out of six).
This year the Bulldogs best look at winning was when the score was only 3-0 after 8 minutes of play.
The Bulldogs still looked competitive in the second quarter when they answered a Pitman touchdown with their own, but missed the point after kick, making the score 10-6.
After the 19-6 halftime score, the Pitman Pride never stopped scoring and the defense shut down the Bulldogs for the rest of the game.
As the Pitman Pride took back the Harvest Bowl trophy, running back Dominick Walker had a standout game running the ball 174 yards with 15 carries and scoring 3 touchdowns.
The final score at the 2009 Harvest Bowl was Pitman Pride 40, Turlock Bulldogs 6.
Pitman’s record is now 4-2 over-all, 3-0 CCC while Turlock’s record is 0-6 overall, 0-3 CCC.
The Turlock Junior Varsity Bulldogs won 38-12 over the Pitman Pride.
