Sometimes a little luck can go a long way.

Turlock police arrested Michael James Bledsoe, 32, of Turlock, for possession of stolen property after stumbling upon the goods during an unrelated call, Turlock Police Lt. Ron Reid said.

Julien Elementary School officials first reported a burglary that had occurred overnight on Jan. 22. Bledsoe allegedly stole a large public address system, including a microphone and speakers.

Later that same day, on an unrelated call, police were assisting Child Protective Services with an issue in the 1400 block of East Avenue. Officers on scene noticed a large speaker in an adjacent room, which subsequently led to the recovery of the stolen public address system. However, Bledsoe was not found at the location.

Officers located Bledsoe today at the exact same location, in the 1400 block of East Avenue.

Bledsoe has previously faced felony charges of carrying a concealed dagger and receiving stolen property. He has faced misdemeanor charges of possessing burglary tools, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, Bledsoe is currently in custody at the Stanislaus County Jail. His bail has been set at $10,000.
