On Thursday, June 1st, 2023, at 3:51 pm, the Turlock Police Department came out requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspects in several aggravated assaults that had occurred throughout the city the three prior evenings.
At least two suspects have been going around in a vehicle shooting innocent victims on the streets with paintballs, causing minor to moderate injuries. As of Thursday afternoon, there were at least nine different reports with the victims’ ages ranging from 13 to 77.
On Monday, May 29th, there was one incident reported at 8:15 pm at the intersection of E Monte Vista Ave and Geer Rd.
On Tuesday, May 30th, there were three incidents reported. The first occurred at 7:40 pm at the intersection of S Orange St and Montana Ave, the second occurred at 8:00 pm at Broadway Park, and the third occurred at 8:15 pm at one of the three Mister Car Wash locations in the city.
On Wednesday, May 31st, there were five incidents reported. The first occurred at 6:00 pm at Days Inn, the second occurred at 6:55 pm at the intersection of N Johnson Rd and E Hawkeye Ave, the third occurred at 6:58 in the 2100 block of E Tuolumne Rd, the fourth occurred at 7:00 pm at the intersection of E Monte Vista Ave and N Berkeley Ave, and the fifth occurred at 8:00 pm in the 700 block of Lambert Way.
The victim of the incident that occurred in the 2100 block of E Tuolumne Rd was an elderly woman who required an ambulance.
The suspect vehicle is described as a gray 2013-2016 Honda Civic with tinted windows.
The Turlock Police Department would like to remind members of the public to be aware of their surroundings, immediately report any similar or suspicious activity, and attempt to obtain a license plate if able to do so safely.
