On Tuesday, the Modesto Police Department reported that they are seeking help identifying a woman who is allegedly stealing wallets from elderly victims while they shop and that the woman has been linked to six thefts in Turlock since 2013.

After stealing the wallets, the suspect goes on to allegedly make large purchases with their credit cards.

This suspect is also allegedly connected to six thefts in Turlock since last year.

“The Turlock Police Department is currently investigating approximately six cases possibly involving the same woman,” said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis. “The cases date back to 2013.”

From the surveillance photos provided by the Modesto Police Department, the suspect is a heavyset black woman with glasses.
