A male suspect remains at large after robbing a victim outside of the Stop N Shop on Lander Avenue late Friday night.

The victim was approached by the suspect while getting out of his vehicle at the Stop N Shop, located at 1590 Lander Ave., at approximately 11:49 p.m., said Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.

The suspect punched the victim in the face and pulled a knife on him, said Webb. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s bag and fled into a neighborhood off Linwood Avenue, running across a drainage ditch.

A witness attempted to follow the victim, but ultimately lost sight of him, and returned to tell the victim, said Webb.

The suspect was described as a male, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds. He was seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a bandana covering his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department at 209-668-1200.
