At about 3:29pm Monday afternoon, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to a traffic collision with injuries at King’s Fabrication in the 800 block of S. Soderquist Road.

The caller reported that a six-year-old boy had been struck by a vehicle in front of the business.

While units were enroute, they received information that the boy was being transported to Emanuel Hospital and that they were being advised to pull over.

They pulled over in front of Soderquist Ballpark which is where everyone ended up responding to.

When units arrived on scene, they learned that the boy was actually four years old.

An air ambulance was requested, however, had an extended response time due to none being available in the county.

The boy was eventually airlifted by CALSTAR Air Medical Services to a regional children’s hospital. Details on his injuries are currently unknown.

Officers then responded to the scene of the collision to investigate. The involved driver had stuck around and cooperated with police.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.
