On Thursday, January 5th, 2023, at 9:29 am, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a security check at Starbucks, 1611 Lander Ave, Turlock, after a man was believed to be suffering a medical emergency.

Officers were the first to arrive on scene and contacted a man who was later identified as Robert Grant, 32, of Turlock. Grant, who was alert and conscious, stated that he was not suffering a medical emergency.

When officers had their dispatcher run Grant, they discovered that he was on searchable probation for possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and driving or taking someone else’s vehicle without their consent and with the intent to deprive them of it.

A subsequent probation search led to the discovery of methamphetamines.

Grant was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines and violation of probation.
