Probationer arrested on weapon charge after being recognized by officer Tuesday night

On Tuesday, July 26th, 2022, at 10:47 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Arco AMPM, 2301 Fulkerth Rd, Turlock, made contact with a man in the parking lot which he recognized and knew to be on probation.

The officer had his dispatcher run the man, Dexter Olson, 31, of Denair, and he returned with a misdemeanor warrant for possession of methamphetamines, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A probation search of Olson’s vehicle was conducted which led to the discovery of pepper spray and drug paraphernalia. Olson is a convicted felon and thus is prohibited from possessing pepper spray and other tear gas weapons.
