Robbery victim arrested on seven misdemeanor warrants and drug charge Tuesday night

On Tuesday, August 16th, 2022, at 9:14 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported disturbance in progress at Arco AMPM, 2219 Lander Ave, Turlock, involving two men.

As officers were responding, they obtained additional information that the incident was actually a robbery. The victim told dispatch that a man had battered him, took his property, and taken off in a vehicle.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the victim and identified him as Gunpreet Sahota, 38, of Turlock.

Officers then had their dispatcher run Sahota and he returned with seven misdemeanor warrants, four local and three out of Stanislaus County for charges including trespassing and possession of methamphetamines.

Sahota was also found to be in possession of additional methamphetamines.

Sahota was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines and his warrants.

The investigation into the original robbery remains on-going.
