On Tuesday, August 16th, 2022, at 4:59 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported sex offense that had just occurred at Cogir of Turlock Senior Living, 3791 Crowell Rd, Turlock, after a male resident had just sexually touched a female resident without her consent.
Officers arrived and began their investigation. Through the course of their investigation, officers learned that the suspect, Greg Sorenson, 67, of Turlock, was a registered sex offender out of compliance for oral copulation with a child under the age of 14 years.
Ultimately, Sorenson was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of being a sex offender based on a felony conviction or juvenile adjudication out of compliance, sexual battery, and elder abuse or endangerment under circumstances other than those likely to produce great bodily harm or death.
