Serial Arco AMPM robber arrested Sunday evening

On Sunday, September 12th, 2021, at 2:40 am, a Turlock Police officer on W Taylor Rd just east of N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed an unoccupied vehicle parked on the side of the road, where the suspect from the Arco AMPM robberies had been known to flee to.

The officer got out with the vehicle and checked its hood, which was still warm. A bystander who was in the area told the officer that just five minutes prior, a man had ran from the Arco AMPM into the orchard next to the vehicle. A perimeter was setup and additional units responded to the scene, including two deputies with canines from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. The canines attempted to track the man’s scent, however, were unable to locate him. After a while, officers broke down the perimeter and requested a tow truck to take the vehicle as evidence.

Later that morning, two detectives working the case interviewed family members of the vehicle’s registered owner, Isaac Harp, 19, of Turlock, trying to get his whereabouts. A few hours later, Harp voluntarily went to the Turlock Police Department to speak with detectives.

At 5:10 pm, detectives arrested Harp and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of robbery, attempted robbery, and aggravated assault.

The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to call Officer Kevin Blanc at 209-668-6540.
