On Sunday, July 16th, 2023, at 3:03 pm, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire at a residence in the 300 block of N Thor St, Turlock.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a shed, fence, and some grass on fire with downed power lines nearby.
Firefighters immediately began fire attack and were able to quickly get a knockdown on the fire, however, remained on scene for an extended period of time conducting overhaul, investigation, and other post-fire activities.
The Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigation Unit responded to conduct an investigation, while the Turlock Irrigation District responded for the downed power lines. The Modesto Fire Department provided city coverage for the duration of the incident.
The cause and origin of the fire remain unknown.
No injuries were reported.
