Sheriff’s Department Investigating Homicide in Turlock

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a possible homicide that occurred Tuesday night in Turlock.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2400 block of South Walnut Road in Turlock around 8:08 p.m. on the report of a suspicious death.

The victim had been working there, plowing fields on his tractor. Family members became concerned when when the victim did not return home from work and no one had heard from him.

Family members drove to the work site, and upon arrival they located the victim deceased.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department are listing the investigation as a homicide at this time.

No other details, including the victim’s identity are being released at this time.

Activity on police scanners said the cause of death was a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
