At about 12:20am Friday morning, Turlock Police responded to reported shots heard in the 100 block of Almond Avenue.

While officers were responding, they were advised that there was a large party somewhere in the area and that one of the callers had heard someone saying, “shoot him.”

When officers arrived on scene, they had to deal with a crowd of about thirty uncooperative partygoers.

Several of them had to be detained, however, were eventually released.

Officers conducted a security sweep of the residence and property to ensure there were no victims, but were unable to locate any.

A man was contacted at the scene who told officers that the residence was an Airbnb that had been rented out for a party. He and a majority of partygoers were from out of town.

The man who had rented out the residence requested assistance to shutdown the party. The crowd was uncooperative and it took nearly an hour to get everyone to leave.

After a while, evidence was located that indicated there was a firearm shot at one point, however, there are no known victims or suspects.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information that could assist in it is encouraged to call Officer Manuel Ayala at 209-668-1200.
