On Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 3:54 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the 600 block of S Orange St, Turlock, spotted a side-by-side that had evaded Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies earlier in the day, so he attempted to make a traffic stop on it.
The side-by-side pulled into the driveway of a residence and its driver, Hector Delatorre, 30, of Turlock, immediately got out of it, refused to stop when ordered to do so by the officer, and entered his residence.
Eventually, Delatorre was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving without a valid driver’s license and obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer. Additionally, his vehicle was impounded.
Although it was likely him, Delatorre was unable to be positively identified as the man who had fled from sheriff’s deputies earlier in the day and thus was not charged with it.
