SIU detectives serve search warrant early Thursday morning that leads to three arrests

On Thursday, October 22nd, 2020, at approximately 8:50 am, Turlock Police detectives apart of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Village Park Ct. The investigation began back in July of 2020 when detectives from the unit received an anonymous tip regarding criminal activity and a possible illegal marijuana cultivation operation at the residence.

With the help of Stanislaus County Probation Officer Elise Schwartz and her canine partner, Java, who is trained to sniff out firearms, ammunition, and narcotics, detectives located over 300 marijuana plants, over $40,000 dollars in cash, one rifle, three handguns, ammunition, and evidence of illegal firearm manufacturing.

Three people in total were arrested. The first was Arisbel Gutierrez-Fabela, 27, of Turlock. The second was Chantel Alvarado, 21, of Turlock. The last was Paul Gutierrez-Fabela, 28 of Turlock. There is a fourth subject who is outstanding and a person of interest in this on-going investigation. At this time, other criminal violations are being considered for all four.
