At about 9:32pm on Monday, Turlock Police, University Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to a call of aggravated assault at a residence in the 1000 block of E. Springer Drive.

The caller was the victims’ daughter and stated that both her parents had just been shot. Simultaneously, several people reported hearing sounds of shots in the Crowell Road area – later to be found unrelated.

When Officers arrived on scene, they found that the husband and wife had not been shot, but rather had laceration wounds to their neck and arms. They cleared fire and medical personnel into the scene, who immediately declared both victims deceased at 9:49pm.

Officers set up a crime scene and called out detectives, along with command staff.

The Turlock Police Department is planning to put out a press release on Wednesday, however, they reiterated in their statement to Turlock City News and the same that they had posted to social media when this occurred – that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

Stay posted, Turlock City News will publish updates as more information is made available.
