For the third consecutive year, a plethora of local artists will open their studios to members of the public.
The Stanislaus County Artist Open Studio Tour, presented by the Stanislaus County Travel and Tourism Roundtable, returns this weekend.
Featuring over 50 local artists and 35 art studios, the Artist Open Studio Tour event exhibits the immense variety of artistic talent in Stanislaus County. By allowing the public to enter the artists’ studios and see artists at work, the Artist Open Studio Tour gives viewers and participants a unique experience that they wouldn’t get from an ordinary art exhibit.
Drawing over 600 attendees last year, the Artist Open Studio Tour brings much attention to local, original artwork. From mixed media works to watercolors, prints, handmade jewelry, sculptures, photography and more, participating artists each bring something unique to the show.
Each artist’s work is clearly displayed, and can be found with an easy-to-read area map that directs participants to various studios. The booklet also contains each artist’s personal information for future reference. Art pieces will be given away during a drawing after the tour.
