The Western Fairs Association recognized the Stanislaus County Fair with 11 awards this week, including six first-place awards, during its annual convention held in Reno, Nev.

The Stanislaus County Fair won first-place awards for having the best website, best magazine advertisement, and best other advertising piece, specifically coupon books which were distributed at FoodMaxx stores. The fair also claimed best new featured event/exhibit or program, with the “Everybody Walk” campaign with Kaiser Permanente, best new children's program, the Kids Club Educational Program, and best new community outreach program, with the “Christmas in July” program asking guests to donate toys to the Salvation Army during the fair.

Silver medals went to the Stanislaus County Fair in the fields of e-blasts, sponsorship, innovative marketing strategy/concept for the Fair's rebranding, and viral or video documentation. The fair's viral video focused on a flash mob marriage proposal, which occurred at the Stanislaus County Fair last year.
