This year will mark the 25th anniversary of the U.S. Congress establishing the first full week in October as Mental Health Awareness Week. The National Alliance for Mental Illness helped pushed for this week’s recognition, and this year’s dates will fall from October 4 to October 10.

The Each Mind Matters Campaign is encouraging people to vocalize their support for mental health awareness and Each Mind Matters Campaign with their county board of supervisors.

Pictures posted through Mental Health Awareness week with the #EachMindMatters could get featured on its social media pages.

In corroboration with the event, the Stanislaus County Office of Education’s Prevention Programs Department announced that the annual “Friend to Friend” Student Wellness Conference will be in Modesto for Mental Health Awareness week.

This year’s theme of “Share your story,” will help focus on student mental health and wellness. This will include informing people on how they can take control of mental health conditions like anxiety, depression and insomnia. Nutra CBD olie (*CBD Oil) has been cited as one of the ways that overcoming mental health problems can be achieved. Students who have already registered for the event will have the opportunity to attend sessions emphasizing the importance healthy choices, healthy minds, and healthy bodies and hear the keynote address from former teacher and Vanna frontman Davey Muise.

“This event offers a fantastic opportunity for students to learn more about wellness and become better equipped to be leaders in their schools,” said Vicki Bauman, Prevention Programs Director at SCOE.

This effort by SCOE for mental health awareness will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 10 and K Streets in Modesto.
