A man was arrested and cited on Aug. 22 for indecent exposure after allegedly showing his genitals outside of an elementary school.

Turlock police responded to the area of Springer Drive and Fosberg Road at approximately 3:28 p.m. on the report of a male subject showing his genitals outside of Dennis Earl Elementary School.

It was later found that the man, identified as John Joseph Connelly III, 67, had been urinating behind a tree, said Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Victor Barcelos.

Connelly was briefly placed under citizen’s arrest, said Barcelos, before officers arrived and contacted the suspect.

Officers arrested Connelly and was later cited for indecent exposure and released.
