Surveillance Video Helps Catch Suspect in Attempted Burglary

A male subject was arrested on Monday night after surveillance video captured the suspect attempting to break into a Turlock business.

Turlock police responded to the 4200 block of North Golden State Boulevard at approximately 10:46 p.m. after report of the attempted burglary.

The suspect, later identified as Luis Galvan, 38, was allegedly seen, through video surveillance, attempting to pry open the front door of the business with a crowbar, according to the Turlock Police Department.

After the attempted burglary, Galvan allegedly fled in a vehicle.

Approximately 30 minutes later, around 11:15 p.m., an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description of the Galvan’s vehicle on the 100 block of East Monte Vista Avenue and made a traffic stop, according to the Turlock Police Department.

Officers located the crowbar used in the alleged attempted burglary in Galvan’s vehicle.

Galvan was arrested for attempted burglary.
