Suspect Attempts to Hit Victim with Vehicle

Turlock police arrested a female suspect on April 20 after she attempted to run over a victim who was crossing Crowell Road.

The suspect, later identified as Christina Gonzalez, 45, was traveling in the 3800 block of Crowell Road when she swerved and attempted to hit a pedestrian at approximately 10:49 p.m., according to the police report.

Gonzalez then drove into an apartment complex in the area, got out of the vehicle, and walked into one of the apartments, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

The male victim reported the incident and when police arrived, they contacted several people in the apartment, including Gonzalez, who was positively identified as the suspect.

Officers also found that the vehicle driven by Gonzalez had been previously reported stolen out of the San Jose Police Department.

Gonzalez was arrested and booked for attempted assault with a deadly weapon and possession of stolen property.
