A break-in early Sunday morning was unsuccessful after the suspect was unable to get into the residence and nothing was taken.

Turlock police responded to the 500 block of West Linwood Avenue at approximately 2:44 a.m. and found that a victim had woken to a subject attempting to break down the door to the residence.

The subject was unable to get into the residence, but did cause damage to the door frame, reports the Turlock Police Department.

According to the Turlock Police Department, the suspect fled when the victim began yelling.

The victim was unable to get a description of the suspect.

Officers searched the area, but no one was located at that time.
