Turlock police arrested a male subject after he threw a cinder block during an altercation and causing injuries to the victim early in the morning of Jan. 25.
Pedro Vega, 27, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Geer Road at approximately 4:25 a.m. after an argument turned into a mutual fight.
According to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb, an argument ensued between Vega and the victim, eventually turning into a mutual fight.
Vega’s brothers joined in the fight and chased the victim, said Webb, adding that it appeared Vega was losing the fight.
At this time, Vega threw a cinder block and injured the victim.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Webb.
