A 49-year-old male suspect was arrested on April 6 for a robbery the previous morning at a Turlock Jack in the Box.

The robbery occurred shortly before 9 a.m. on the morning of April 5 at the Jack in the Box at 100 N. Golden State Blvd.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb, the victim and suspect made small talk while in the restaurant, but the suspect later pulled a knife on the victim and demanded his items.

The victim, fearing for his safety, gave up his items, including his wallet and iPhone, said Webb.

Based on descriptions of the suspect, and the subjects with the suspect, Turlock police were able to identify John Long, 49, as the suspect, said Webb.

The following morning, Monday at approximately 10:13 a.m., Long was located by officers in the 300 block of A Street in Turlock.

Long was arrested for robbery.
