Suspicious incident call leads to arrest for four warrants early Saturday morning

On Saturday, November 19th, 2022, at 12:17 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious incident in progress at Villas Parkside, 381 W Hawkeye Ave, Turlock, after two men had been seen prowling around vehicles in the parking lot with flashlights and then making access into one.

When officers arrived on scene, they found only one man in the parking lot, later identified as Augustine Gallardo, 30, of Turlock.

Gallardo claimed that he had permission to access the vehicle that he had accessed and that was later determined to be true.

When officers had their dispatcher run Gallardo, he returned with four local warrants. The first one was a $100,550 felony bench warrant for organized retail theft and possession of burglary tools, the second one was a $25,500 misdemeanor bench warrant for domestic battery, the third one was a $25,500 misdemeanor bench warrant for contempt of court, and the fourth one was a $2,000 misdemeanor warrant of arrest for theft and driving without a valid driver’s license.

Gallardo was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
