Suspicious person call results in arrest of sex offender out of compliance early Wednesday morning

On Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, at 2:30 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious person in the 2600 block of Porsche Strasse, after a resident in the area spotted a man he did not recognize walking around and getting into a vehicle that did not belong to him.

When officers arrived in the area, they made contact with Guillermo Hernandez, 31, of Turlock, and discovered that he was a sex offender who was not in compliance. He was also on post release community supervision for burglary and an arson registrant.

Officers made contact with the owner of the vehicle that Hernandez was seen getting into and determined that no crime had been committed.

Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of being a sex offender based on a felony conviction or juvenile adjudication out of compliance.
