On Friday, May 20th, 2022, at 11:45 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Olympic Dr and Gold Dr, Turlock, observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by two, so he decided to get out with it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s two occupants, one of which was Kenneth Powell, 39, of El Dorado Hills.

At some point during the contact, the officer observed what he believed to be narcotics. Powell’s passenger was also on searchable probation, so they were both removed from the vehicle so that a search could be conducted.

Eventually, Powell was arrested and released on a citation on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
