Covenant Village of Turlock will host a public computer and technology seminar by Abby Stokes, author of “Is This Thing On?” and instructor at Cooper Union and New York University’s School of Lifelong Learning.

Through her work, Stokes has helped nearly 190,000 people understand and use new technology and tools.

Stokes will conduct a seminar to educate area seniors about the differences between the various innovations and gadgets. She will also help attendees identify which devices, apps and social networking tools would be appropriate for them.

Stokes will speak at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Covenant Village of Turlock, 2125 N. Olive Ave.
