On Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at 6:53 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported attempted burglary that had just occurred at a residence in the 3500 block of Whistler Ct, Turlock, after the caller had caught a boy attempting to break into their home through the garage door.

Officers arrived in the area and began checking, locating a 14-year-old Black male nearby who matched the description.

The teen was contacted and identified. When officers had their dispatcher run the teen, they discovered that he had a warrant for assault.

The teen was eventually positively identified by the caller as the suspect.

The teen was arrested and booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on the charge of attempted burglary, as well as his warrant.
