Teen stabbed and killed celebrating high school graduation at house party Friday night

On Friday, June 2nd, 2023, at 10:46 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Stanislaus State Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported aggravated assault that had just occurred at a residence in the 2800 block of Majestic Ct, Turlock, after a teen had been stabbed and was on the floor without a pulse.

Officers were the first to arrive on scene and found Dylan Dooling, 17, of Turlock, on the northeast corner of Castleview Dr and N Daubenberger Rd with at least one stab wound.

Officers immediately began performing life-saving measures on Dooling until relieved by firefighters and paramedics. Dooling was transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital, accompanied by a firefighter for extra manpower.

Unfortunately, despite best efforts, Dooling succumbed to his injuries at about 11:40 pm.

Detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation.

Through preliminary interviews with witnesses, detectives learned that Dooling had been at a house party at the previously mentioned residence on Majestic Ct along with several of his friends and others celebrating their recent from Pitman High School.

As Dooling was leaving the party, he was confronted by a group of males down the street, a fight occurred, and he was stabbed.

The group of males then fled the scene by unknown means. One of the original callers reported that they fled in a black sedan, however, that has yet to be confirmed. The males are suspected to either be White or Hispanic and in their late teens or early 20s.

Investigators and victim advocates from the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office responded to the scene to offer their assistance.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information that could assist in it is encouraged to call Detective Francisco Navarro at 209-664-7319.

Dooling is survived by his mother Holly, father Joseph, stepfather Jared, and sister Layla. He was looking forward to what the future held and was excited to start at Modesto Junior College.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help offset expenses. If you’d like, you may donate at https://gofund.me/97d4d546.
