Time to get the pool ready and break out the sunscreen!
From today through Friday, temperatures are expected to rise as high as the mid 90s. Weather.com predicts a high of 95 today, 96 on Thursday and 95 on Friday.
The National Weather Service predicts a high of 91 today and 92 on both Thursday and Friday. Winds will blow from the northwest, ranging from 10 to 15 mph, and the UV index will be 8 (very high).
The heat wave will be brief, however, as temperatures are expected to fall back down to 87 Saturday and into the mid 70s through early next week.
