Ten Displaced After House Fire

At about 1:22pm Wednesday, Turlock Fire, Modesto Fire, Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigation Unit, and American Medical Response responded to a working structure fire at a residence in the 1400 block of Stallion Way.

When units arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the single-story single-family dwelling.

Firefighters immediately began fire attack and were able to bring the fire under control within about 30 minutes, however, remained on scene for an extended period of time conducting overhaul, investigation, and other post-fire activities.

The Turlock Irrigation District and Pacific Gas and Electric Company also responded to the scene to secure utilities, while the Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District provided city coverage for the duration of the incident.

No injuries were reported, however, three adults and seven children living in the home were displaced. The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist them.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
