Turlock police officers arrested a thieving duo at a Turlock grocery store shortly before midnight on Monday, despite one suspect giving a false name.
Two suspects, later identified as Tavia Yebra, 39, and Joshua Berman, 29, allegedly left FoodMaxx, located at 1845 Countryside Dr., with unpaid merchandise at approximately 11:26 p.m. Monday.
Yebra and Berman were contacted by Turlock police. Berman, who had an active warrant, gave officers the name of a different person.
Berman was later positively identified.
Yebra was arrested and booked for commercial burglary. Berman was arrested and booked for false impersonation and the active warrant.
