Three arrested after shoplifting incident at hardware store Sunday afternoon

On Sunday, May 7th, 2023, at 12:22 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported shoplifting at Lowe’s, 3303 Entertainment Way, Turlock.

By the time officers arrived on scene, the two suspects had already left, however, they were able to obtain images of them and their vehicle.

Less than an hour later, the same officers spotted the same vehicle and two men in the Safeway parking lot, along with an additional woman. In plain view within the vehicle, the officers noticed the stolen merchandise.

The officers made contact with and identified the three, Gregory Snyder, 50, of Dos Palos, Sararose Herring, 24, of Atwater, and Steven Allen, 56, of Delhi.

When the officers had their dispatcher run the three, they discovered that Snyder had a $40,000 felony Ramey warrant out of Merced for driving or taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner, a $5,000 misdemeanor bench warrant out of Los Banos for buying or receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools, and a $5,000 misdemeanor warrant out of Merced for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, and driving with a suspended driver’s license due to a DUI conviction, while Herring had a $1,000 misdemeanor bench warrant out of Ceres for shoplifting.

The three were all arrested, Snyder was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of theft and conspiracy, as well as his warrants, while Herring was released on a citation for her warrant and Allen was released on a citation on charges of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and conspiracy.
