Three arrested on felony warrants during traffic stop early Saturday morning

On Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at 5:01 am, a Stanislaus State Police officer near the intersection of Village Cir and W Christoffersen Pkwy, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s four occupants, including driver Sanhya Bounnhong, 44, of Fresno, passenger Oudone Rathsamy, 41, of Fresno, and passenger Bounmy Munvong, 43, of Fresno.

When the officer had his dispatcher run all four subjects, Bounnhong, Rathsamy, and Munvong all returned with bench warrants out of Fresno County. Bounnhong had a $30,000 felony one for vandalism and attempted grand theft and a $50,000 misdemeanor one for domestic violence inflicting corporal injury, Rathsamy had a $30,000 felony one for domestic violence inflicting corporal injury and child abuse or endangerment under circumstances other than those likely to produce great bodily harm or death and a no bail felony one for grand theft, vandalism, possession of burglary tools, and flight from a peace officer, and Munvong had a $10,300 felony one for attempted grand theft and tampering with a vehicle or its contents.

Bounnhong, Rathsamy, and Munvong were all arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety on their warrants. Additionally, their vehicle was impounded.
