On Sunday, February 12th, 2023, at 9:30 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a burglary alarm at Alfred Matthews Collision Center, 2440 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, after a man prowling on the property had set off a video alarm.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and made contact with two suspicious people in a vehicle parked behind the business on Porsche Strasse. They were identified as Joseph Franklin, 22, of Ceres, and Paul Jimenez, 38, of Modesto.

When officers had their dispatcher run Jimenez, they discovered that he was on searchable probation for violating a domestic violence protective order and vandalism.

Officers then conducted a probation search of the vehicle Jimenez was in and located various stolen items, including several catalytic converters.

Officers then began searching the property for any additional suspects when they came across Brian Becerra, 36, of Modesto, hiding underneath a vehicle. Becerra was detained at gunpoint.

Eventually, Franklin, Jimenez, and Becerra were all arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of stolen property, grand theft, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools. Becerra was also booked on additional charges of vandalism, trespassing, and possession of methamphetamines.
