Three Dog Night to Bring “Joy” to Stanislaus County Fair

Music icons Three Dog Night will perform at the Stanislaus County Fair.

The concert will occur on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. July 18. Local classic rock radio station 104.1 FM The Hawk will host the concert, which is free to all guests who pay fair admission.

“Three Dog Night has been touring for more than 40 years,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “In that time they have attracted fans of all ages, and we are excited to have them perform at the Fair.”

The Grammy-nominated band will play exactly one week into the 2014 Stanislaus County Fair, which will open July 11 for its 10-day run.

Three Dog Night is known for the hits “Shambala,” “Joy to the World,” “Mama Told Me,” and “One.” The band had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits, including three No. 1 singles, 11 Top 10’s, 18 straight Top 20’s, 7 million selling singles and 12 straight Recording Industry Association of America Certified Gold LPs.

The band topped charts in a variety of genres, including pop, rock, and country and their records continue to sell around the world today, reaching beyond the United States into Japan, Canada, Holland, England, Germany, Spain and more. Since 1986, the band has performed over 2,200 shows including two Super Bowls.
