The start of the 2010 TID irrigation season will begin today, March 18, 2010. Growers may begin placing water orders by calling the TID Call Center at (209) 883-8456.
In the TID Board Meeting on Tuesday, the General Manager, Larry Weis stated that “We will have a full allotment, however the maximum water available is yet to be determined.” However the allotment has not been approved officially by the Board of Directors and will not be set until the results of the March snow survey by the California Department of Water Resources are known.
The 2010 water allotment charge is $26.00 per acre. If made available, water above the allotment will be provided at the cost of $15.00 for the first acre-foot (up to 12″) and $20.00 per acre-foot for any water thereafter.
