TID to Consider Selling Property for Turlock Rural Fire Department Expansion

The Turlock Irrigation District Board of Directors will consider selling a portion of property to the Turlock Rural Fire Department (TRFD) for expansion of their current building on Tuesday morning.

In 2014, TRFD approached TID with plans to expand their current building, located at 690 W. Canal Dr., however, the expansion would impact a portion of TID property adjacent to the TRFD building.

TID owns the 0.55 acre property west of the TRFD and a lot line adjustment would be required to accommodate the expansion.

Currently, the TID property is utilized for the storage of minor project materials. Key stakeholders met and it was determined that a lot line adjustment containing 0.19 acres of ground could be completed to accommodate the expansion.

The Water Resources Administration and TRFD have agreed to the sale of 0.19 acres of property for $34,000.

The purchase and sale agreement needs to be approved by the TID Board of Directors and if approved, TID will work with the City of Turlock to finalize the lot line adjustment so the TRFD expansion can be completed.

On Tuesday, the TID Board of Directors will also:
Consider approving an amendment to the 2015 Capital Budget.
Consider approving and accepting the 2014 Consulting Engineer’s Report
Consider accepting the Treasurer's Report
Consider a motion canceling the regular TID Board Meeting for April 28

The TID Board of Directors will meet at 9 a.m. in the Board Room of TID’s Main Office Building, 333 E. Canal Dr.
