Toddler Medi-Flighted Following Hit and Run

Turlock Police Department is investigating a hit and run on Lambert Way that hospitalized a toddler Friday evening.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Jesse Bawcum, a toddler was hit on Lambert Way shortly at approximately 5:11 p.m. by a driver who fled after the collision.

The driver struck the toddler in the roadway and the cause is unknown at this time, said Bawcum.

Following the collision, the driver fled the scene.

The toddler was medi-flighted from the scene, but is in stable condition, said Bawcum.

The hit and run is currently under active investigation and Turlock Police Department’s Major Active Investigation Team is on scene.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult in his late teens or early 20s. He was driving a grey Ford Focus or Honda, said Bawcum.
