Traffic Advisory for Highway 99 Stanislaus Construction Project

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will replace the pavement and reconstruct the on and off-ramps on State Route 99 (SR-99) from the Merced/ Stanislaus County Line to the Stanislaus/ San Joaquin County line. No two consecutive ramps will be closed at one time. Work will occur at the following locations:

• The middle and right lanes on northbound and southbound SR-99 from the Merced/ Stanislaus County line to the West Modesto Overhead will close beginning Monday, May 7, 2012, through Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 7:00pm until 8:00am.

• The on and off-ramps on northbound and southbound SR-99 from the Merced/ Stanislaus County line to Taylor Road will alternately close beginning Monday, May 7, 2012, through Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 7:00pm until 8:00am.

• The southbound on and off-ramp at the Tuolumne Boulevard will close beginning Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 9:00pm, through Sunday, May 27, 2012, at 5:00pm.

• The right lane on southbound SR-99 from Tuolumne Boulevard to 5th Street/ G Street will close beginning Sunday, May 6, 2012, through Friday, May 11, 2012, from 9pm until 5:00pm.

• The middle and right lanes on northbound and southbound SR-99 from Pelandale Avenue to Broadway Avenue/ SR-219 (Kiernan Avenue) will alternately close beginning Monday, May 7, 2012, through Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 7:00pm until 6:00am.

Motorists should expect 30 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change.
