Traffic stop leads to arrest for drug sales Friday night

On Friday, June 24th, 2022, at 10:20 pm, a Turlock Police officer near C&W Machine Shop, 351 N Walnut Rd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver and identified him as David Calderon, 24, of Keyes.

The officer had his dispatcher run Calderon and he returned with a misdemeanor warrant out of Modesto for possession of marijuana for sale.

Calderon was arrested.

Calderon’s vehicle was searched incident to arrest which led to the discovery of a substance believed to be cocaine, Hydrocodone pills, approximately four pounds of marijuana, cash, and drug sale paraphernalia.

Calderon was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, and transporting marijuana for sale, as well as his warrant.
