Traffic stop results in arrest of two probationers for narcotic sale charges Monday night

Alex Cantatore|

On Monday, August 15th, 2022, at 12:19 am, a Turlock Police officer near Turlock Town Center, 749 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s three occupants, including driver Gary Fleming, 51, of Turlock, and passenger Jarrod Teschera, 37, of Turlock.

The officer then had his dispatcher run all three subjects and they all returned to either be on probation or post release community supervision.

Pursuant to the subjects’ probation and PRCS terms, a search of their persons and the vehicle was conducted. Inside the vehicle, officers located narcotics, including Fentanyl, which appeared to be packaged for sale. The narcotics were hidden and were suspected to have been hidden when the stop was made.

The on-call probation and PRCS officer was contacted who determined that there was probable cause both Fleming and Teschera had violated their terms.

Fleming and Teschera were both arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, Fleming on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale and violation of probation, and Teschera on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale and violation of post release community supervision.

The vehicle’s third occupant was released.
