Traffic stop results in felony warrant and narcotics arrests Thursday evening

On Thursday, August 18th, 2022, at 7:03 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the 2500 block of Crowell Rd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s two occupants, driver Natalie Slivo, 26, of Modesto, and passenger Amreek Uppal, 32, of Turlock.

The officer then had his dispatcher run the two subjects and Uppal returned with two felony warrants, a local $50,500 one for child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death and discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner which could result in injury or death, and a $5,000 one out of Merced County for violation of probation.

A subsequent search led to the discovery of narcotics in Slivo’s possession.

Both subjects were arrested, Uppal was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants, while Slivo was released on a citation on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
