The Turlock Police Department has closed the investigation on a female victim who died by running out into the path of a moving train and laid down on the railroad tracks at Fulkerth and Golden State Blvd. in Turlock on Tuesday, December 22, 2009.

The Turlock Police finding is apparent suicide.

Turlock Police also reported that the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office have identified the female victim as 47 year old Jill Looper, a resident of Turlock.

Before public safety officials confirmed Jill Looper’s identity or findings on her death, Jill’s family commented on TurlockCityNews.com stating that Jill was “mentally ill.”

“Please think of ALL the manic depressant people in the world and do all you can for your loved ones suffering from the same illness,” said sister-in-law Lisa Looper. “Thank you for your concern and prayers at this holiday time.”
