At about 3:54 pm Sunday afternoon, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to a reported grass fire at the intersection of North Golden State Boulevard and West Tuolumne Road.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they located a medium sized fire burning along the railroad tracks. Firefighters stopped trains as they had hose lines layed on the tracks and the fire’s proximity to the tracks. The fire was quickly put out and trains were allowed to continue.
